they had to come off somehow, so i reckon theres probably holes in the bottoms of the triangle cups which allow the string to be fed thru?

Take a large safety pin and stick the end of the string. Feed the safety pin through the fabric (closed of course). It’s easier to feel/grab the safety pin than the string.
This trick works on anything with a string and will also work on elastic to pull through a waistband!! One of Grammy’s best!

Use a piece of stiff wire ,(coat hanger).
Tape the end of the string to the wire
& carefully push it through.

Pin a saftey pin on the end of the string part of the bikini! Then work the pin which is attached to the string through the bikini top!. It’ll work for any drawstring that’s come out. Just make sure it’s not too big or too small. You wanna be able to pull it through and still be able to hold it.
