I mean, surely it’s a bit old-fashioned to have rules like that? I know the bikini was banned from some pools when it started to become popular back in the 50s, but surely we’ve progressed since then?

All my life I’ve always worn those bathing suits that cover just as much of my body as regular clothes do. The other day I decided to try on a regular bikini type bathing suit, just to see how it would look. It looks GREAT on me, and I’m not that ashamed of my body like I used to be, but I’m still embarassed to go to the beach or anywhere else while I’m wearing it! I need more self-confidence. I won’t even show it to anyone besides my mom, who tells me it looks great. How can I get used to showing that much skin in public?

Ok i have the body for a bikini, and have no problem wearing them. But im 13 and still growing. I am almost 5′ 9” and have stretch marks from growing so tall, So now i am so self concious about wearing a bikini. though i always wear them. Should i still wear one. Please dont say stuff like whatever your comfortable in, im obviously dont have them because im like fat or obese. What would you think. And do you have any tips on getting rid of them.
